Single-Phase Five-Level Multilevel Inverter Based on a Transistors Six-Pack Module

This article introduces a single-phase five-level multilevel inverter based on six switches and two transformers. The proposed converter requires single dc input source with low voltage. disposition of makes it possible to build the transistors six-pack module off-the-shelves, traditionally used three-phase inverters, which simplifies manufacturing process. increases voltage transformers; for that reason, does not require an auxiliary step-up converter. use transformers (with transformer’s turns ratio) allows using same topology several levels. To verify operation inverter, computer-based simulation was performed PSIM, software considers parasitic components. results show can work properly.
